I can't say anything clever now. I know that some of my friends and acquaintances are writing this. They are writers, and I'll leave it up to them.

But weirdly I feel like I do have somethings to say in a more public place.

Please find a good charity to give to.

Slate's writing, especially Josh Levin's (who's inbetween a friend and an acquaintance) and Jack Shafer's, has been really informative and thought-provoking.

Nola.com and local New Orleans news (wwltv.com, wdsu.org) have done a great job keeping us informed.

The national cable news, especially CNN, deserves to be pilloried for taking as long as they did to tell facts, and for spending too much time of specious analysis and projection.

I really should try to get back to work.
